Nuclear Threat Level has Reached Cold War Era Standards, Says IAEA
The head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, has stated that the nuclear threat level worldwide has reached that of Cold War-era standards. In a post on the social media platform X, Grossi noted, "Today in the nuclear sphere, we are facing unstable confrontations with a large number of participants, significant risks, and less clarity."
According to Grossi, the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons remains the most effective mechanism for controlling the peaceful use of atomic energy.
