New Details on White House Shooting: Why the Suspect Took Such Action
During a dinner attended by U.S. President Donald Trump in Washington, the suspect in the shooting, Cole Allen, criticized the U.S. government for refusing to help Ukraine, reports the New York Post, citing his social media posts.
“Allen has frequently criticized Trump’s administration in over 1,000 posts, and his grievances seem to have intensified as the U.S. supports Ukraine,” the article states.
According to the publication, Allen specifically harshly criticized U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance for comments made in April regarding the decision to withdraw assistance to Ukraine. Furthermore, the newspaper notes that Allen had supported a number of fundraising events for the Ukrainian armed forces.
