It's a Great Idea, Do It: Trump's Statement

U.S. President Donald Trump has expressed support for the idea of renaming the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to NICE. Trump reposted an activist's comment proposing that the agency be renamed the National Immigration and Customs Enforcement. He noted that this would lead the media to refer to agency employees as NICE agents, which would be similar to the English expression “good agents.”

“It's a great idea. Do it,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social page, commenting on the activist's post.

Recently, the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency has been in the spotlight in the U.S. amid scandals surrounding the actions of its employees during anti-immigration raids. Republicans have accused local authorities and law enforcement of deliberately not cooperating with anti-immigration raids and inciting residents to escalate the situation.

Following these developments, acting ICE Director Todd Lyons announced plans to resign by the end of May.
