ELECTION BRIBERY: 'Strong Armenia' Companion Promised Jobs, Claims Anti-Corruption Committee
The Republic of Armenia's Anti-Corruption Committee along with employees of the National Security Service has gathered evidence through joint investigative and operational activities. The information indicates that a companion of the 'Strong Armenia' party has promised to offer jobs to several voters in exchange for their votes during the upcoming National Assembly elections scheduled for June 7, 2026. This promise was accepted by the voters.
The Anti-Corruption Committee reported this information, noting that a criminal case has been initiated under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia. Public criminal prosecution has been initiated against four individuals who have since been arrested.
It is important to recall that today, Samvel Karapetyan's associate, investigator Arthur Avanesyan, also known as Kandaz, was taken into custody.
