The Agreement Between Serzh Sargsyan and the LLC Recognized as Null and Void, Large Sum to be Recovered
The Office of the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia reports that the Anti-Corruption Court has accepted another lawsuit filed by the State Interests Protection Department on February 27, 2026.
According to the court's decision, the agreement signed on March 3, 2006, between former Minister of Defense Serzh Sargsyan (on behalf of the Republic of Armenia) and an LLC has been deemed null and void. This concerns the transfer of a 0.17 ha plot of land located on Admiral Isakov Avenue in the Malatia-Sebastia administrative district of Yerevan.
Since the return of the specified land plot is impossible, as a consequence of the agreement’s nullification, the value of the property amounting to 78 million 860 thousand drams will be recovered from the closed joint-stock company into the state budget. The judicial act has already come into legal force, and the appropriate enforcement sheet has been issued.
