Iran's Airspace to Reopen in Four Phases
Iran's skies will gradually reopen, with flights resuming from east to west. According to Al Jazeera, the reopening of Iran's airspace is planned to be carried out in four phases.
In the initial phase, the airspace will be made accessible for transit flights, followed by the resumption of flights from airports in the eastern part of the country. In the third phase, flights will be allowed from Mehrabad and Imam Khomeini Airports, while in the final phase, flights from other western airports will be restarted.
Currently, the sale of airline tickets has been suspended. Tasnim, citing an official statement, notes that citizens should follow the organization’s official announcements to receive up-to-date information on airport operations and ticket purchasing opportunities.
The report does not specify a timeline for when the airspace reopening process will begin. Iran's airspace was closed on February 28 after the start of U.S. and Israeli military operations, which targeted major cities in the country, including Tehran.
