Restrictions in Armenian Airspace: Clarification from Civil Aviation
From May 3 to May 5, 2026, the operation of general aviation flights in the airspace of the Republic of Armenia will be prohibited. This is reported by the Civil Aviation Committee.
Specifically:
- non-commercial business flights,
- training flights,
- personal flights,
- flights for agricultural, construction, research, filming, exploration, advertising, and other special service purposes,
- flights of unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) of any kind.
The aforementioned prohibition has no relation to commercial regular and non-regular flights, as well as flights conducted in emergency situations, and is related ONLY to large-scale events involving numerous foreign delegations to be held in the Republic of Armenia during the specified period, based on security considerations.
The committee urges the public to refrain from spreading misinformation and to follow ONLY the official announcements posted on the Civil Aviation Committee's Facebook page.
