Lebanon's Reaction to Talks with Israeli Leader: Media
Lebanese authorities are not aware of the supposed planned negotiations between the leaders of Lebanon and Israel, reports the France Presse agency, citing an official source.
Previously, U.S. President Donald Trump announced that the leaders of Israel and Lebanon would hold talks on Thursday.
“We are not aware of any planned communications with the Israeli side and have not been informed through official channels,” the source told the agency.
The escalation of the conflict between Israel and Lebanon began on March 2, against the backdrop of strikes on Iran by Israel and the U.S. Since March 16, Israel has been conducting ground operations in southern Lebanon and targeting Lebanese cities, including the capital.
