Sargsyan Proposes Restrictions on Online Casinos
Member of the National Assembly from the "Civil Contract" faction, Hayk Sargsyan, proposes to legally establish a series of restrictions on the operations of online casinos.
In a video posted on Facebook, the deputy informed that one of the legislative initiatives he presented has received a positive conclusion from the Government.
The draft bill suggests making it mandatory for all online casino websites and applications to implement a self-exclusion tool. "Citizens who no longer wish to play should be able to press this button, block their account, and no longer be able to play," Sargsyan stated.
He emphasized that the initiative aims to prevent financial problems and the accumulation of debts. Additionally, the draft also proposes establishing further restrictions, particularly that pensioners without other sources of income will not be able to play, the participation of beneficiaries will be limited, and citizens will not be able to lose more than 20% of their income.
The deputy noted that the process of adopting the draft is still ongoing. Further details to follow.
