Iran's 10-Point Ceasefire Plan
The Iranian Supreme Council has released a 10-point plan presented to the United States, concerning security guarantees, the lifting of sanctions, and regional processes.
According to the published provisions, Washington is fundamentally committed to ensuring the absence of aggression against Iran and maintaining Tehran's control over the Strait of Hormuz. The document also states that all resolutions of the UN Security Council and the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency are to be suspended.
Other points in the plan address Iran’s right to enrich uranium, the cancellation of all primary and secondary sanctions, and compensation payments to Tehran. Additionally, the withdrawal of US military forces from the region is included in the published list.
Furthermore, the document particularly mentions the cessation of military operations in all directions, including in the context of fighting against Lebanese resistance. However, the published information does not specify when and in what format these provisions may take practical effect, so they are currently presented as the content of proposed measures.
