Earthquake Recorded in Azerbaijan
According to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre, a 5.6 magnitude earthquake has occurred in the Caspian Sea, near the shores of Azerbaijan. The seismic event was registered at 13:05 local time.
The epicenter was located 66 km northeast of the city of Lankaran, which has a population of approximately 240,000. The quake's focal depth was reported to be 10 km.
