New Information Released About Khamenei's Health
The Times, referencing intelligence data from the United States and Israel, reports that Iran's Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, is undergoing treatment and is in a state of unconsciousness. It is noted that he is being treated in the city of Qom, and his health condition is assessed as severe.
According to the publication, an intelligence-based document indicates that Khamenei is unable to participate in decision-making regarding state governance. Furthermore, these pieces of information have not been officially confirmed.
At the end of March, Axios reported that the CIA and Israel's Mossad were trying to verify whether Mojtaba Khamenei had indeed become Iran's leader. Concerns regarding his governance capabilities have arisen due to his prolonged absence from the public sphere.
Earlier, it was confirmed in Tehran that he was injured during strikes from the U.S. and Israel on March 28, though it was claimed that the injury was not serious. At the same time, The Telegraph reported that he was able to survive the missile strike because he was in a garden at the time of the attack.
