China's Foreign Ministry on the Tensions in the Strait of Hormuz
Recent tensions in the Strait of Hormuz and surrounding waters have negatively impacted international trade routes and disrupted the transport of goods and energy resources. This was announced by the official representative of China's Foreign Ministry, Lin Ziyan, who also called on the parties involved to cease military operations.
According to the Chinese side, the current situation not only harms regional security but also has broader implications for peace and stability. Lin Ziyan stated that the observed tensions in the Strait of Hormuz have struck a blow to one of the crucial routes for global supply, through which goods and energy resources are transported.
Amid the escalation of the conflict surrounding Iran, data published indicates that navigation through the Strait of Hormuz has almost come to a standstill. Beijing has declared that the developments negatively affect both international trade and global energy stability. The Chinese Foreign Ministry representative emphasized that further escalation of the situation could deepen regional and global uncertainty.
