Iran's Permanent Representative Makes Statement at the UN
The Permanent Representative of Iran to the United Nations has stated that more than 1,348 civilians have been killed as a result of military operations conducted by the United States and Israel. This information was provided by Amir Saeed Iravani during a meeting of the UN Security Council.
According to him, the military strikes have been ongoing since February 28, 2026. Iravani indicated that among the casualties are women and children.
The Iranian diplomat also announced that more than 17,000 civilians have been injured as a result of these military actions. He emphasized that the number of casualties and injuries among the civilian population continues to rise.
The statement was made during a UN Security Council meeting where the situation in the region was being discussed.
