Armenia's Foreign Intelligence Service Issues Statement
Armenia's Foreign Intelligence Service has issued a statement regarding pressures against Armenian citizens in other countries and interference in upcoming electoral processes.
According to the statement provided exclusively to Armenpress, it reads:
“The Foreign Intelligence Service has received intelligence indicating that various actors, acting on behalf of special services of another country, are attempting to exert pressure on individuals of Armenian descent who are citizens of Armenia and are engaged in economic activities in that country. These individuals are being pushed toward supporting certain political forces that have submitted applications to participate in the upcoming parliamentary elections in Armenia. This includes, but is not limited to, actions of financial and organizational support for these political forces from the mentioned businesspersons.”
