Turkey Deploys F-16 Fighters in Northern Cyprus
Turkey has stationed six F-16 fighter jets and air defense systems in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) amid recent developments in the Middle East. This was reported by the Turkish Ministry of Defense.
According to the ministry, the military equipment has been deployed as part of a program aimed at reinforcing security. It is noted that this action is a response to the increasing tensions in the region and is directed at strengthening Northern Cyprus's defense capabilities.
Ankara has emphasized that additional measures may be implemented depending on the developments in the situation. The Turkish side has stated that it is prepared to continue expanding security measures as necessary to respond to the risks present in the region.
