Production Activities of 'Karas' Public Catering Facility Suspended
During an inspection conducted by the Food Safety Inspectorate's inspectors in Yerevan at the 'Karas' public catering facility (located at 34 G. Nzhdeh Street), it was found that sanitary and hygienic requirements were violated.
Specifically:
- Some walls of the food establishment lacked a smooth surface and were not made of waterproof, non-absorbent materials.
- Parts of the ceilings were not constructed to prevent or reduce dirt accumulation, condensation, and the risk of particle dropping.
- Some work surfaces in direct contact with food were in poor condition, not sanitized, and not cleaned, and were not made of smooth, cleanable materials that are resistant to wear and corrosion.
By order of the head of the Food Safety Inspectorate, the production activities of the 'Karas' public catering facility have been suspended, and a deadline has been set to address the identified violations.
