United Arab Emirates Threatens Iran with Retaliation
The UAE's Minister of International Cooperation, Reem Al Hashimy, said in an interview with CNN that the country may take more decisive actions if Iran continues to launch missiles and drones at the nation.
“We are prepared to defend ourselves. Hopefully, it won't come to that, but ... we will not sit idly by while we continue to be the target of such waves of attacks,” Al Hashimy stated during the interview.
When asked whether the UAE might engage in military action, the senior official replied, “If it comes to that, it might.”
“The ball is now in Iran's court regarding how they wish to conduct themselves with a neighbor that has traditionally been very just and friendly towards them,” she added.
