Armenia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the Launch of the 'Trump Road' Construction
The actual implementation and construction phase of the 'Trump Road' project (TRIPP) is set to begin in 2026. This was announced by the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in response to a written inquiry from Sputnik Armenia.
The Ministry clarified that Armenia is conducting intensive negotiations with its American counterparts regarding the legal framework and regulations of the 'Trump Road for International Peace and Prosperity' project.
“The TRIPP Company, a joint venture between Armenia and the United States, will be registered in Armenia and will obtain rights for the development of necessary infrastructures for railway, road, oil and gas pipelines, as well as optical fiber cables,” the agency reported.
Additionally, Armenia considers the implementation of the 'Trump Road' project as an integral part of the government’s 'Crossroads of Peace' initiative, which is fully compatible with major infrastructural development aimed at enhancing regional connectivity, including the Middle Corridor and Persian Gulf-Black Sea projects.
