Zelensky on Elections: 'We Understand Where This is Coming From'
One of the points of Ukraine's peace agreement is to hold elections as soon as possible after the ceasefire, which is a demand from Kyiv's partners. President Volodymyr Zelensky made this statement, as quoted by RBC-Ukraine.
“Point 18: Ukraine should hold elections as soon as possible after the signing of the agreement. As soon as possible. This is the vision of our partners. Well, we understand where this is coming from,” Zelensky stated.
He reiterated that Ukraine can hold elections, but the safety of the process must be guaranteed.
It is worth noting that on December 14, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced his readiness to conduct elections in the country, but on the condition that the safety of voting is ensured.
