Kallas Qualifies Trump's Statements as Provocation
The EU's chief diplomat, Kaia Kallas, during a hearing of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the European Parliament, noted that American criticism "could perhaps be directed at Russia," according to The Guardian.
She also emphasized that the EU must be more decisive in acknowledging that the criticism does not correspond to reality. "I think this is being done with the intention of provoking us, so we will respond. We know that it is ridiculous; what they are saying about the European Union is not correct," Kallas stated.
Previously, the European Commission fined X 120 million euros for violating European digital services legislation. Following that, the U.S. President had stated that Europe is moving in a very bad direction.
