Nikol Pashinyan Presents the Causes of Poverty in Armenia
The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, has addressed the issue of poverty in the National Assembly, emphasizing that there is indeed a poverty problem.
"It is time for us to finally confront and acknowledge its causes. In Armenia, the cause of poverty is no longer the lack of job opportunities, but rather the absence or scarcity of skills to escape poverty," Pashinyan stated.
Pashinyan added that since 2018, the government has adopted the strategy that work is the way to overcome poverty. He pointed out that there are people who are working, yet still remain in poverty.
