By 2030, Georgia Will Be Ready for EU Membership: Kavelashvili
The President of Georgia believes that the country will fully comply with the requirements for joining the European Union in the coming years. According to him, necessary internal reforms and the stabilization of the governance system are ongoing, and the year 2030 could be pivotal.
At the same time, Kavelashvili emphasizes that the EU's stance is often contradictory. “Today we cannot say whether the European Union will change its approach. They operate with double standards. The creator of the atmosphere should be dialogue, but they are not engaging in dialogue with us. Sometimes they recognize the government, sometimes they do not. This is absurd,” he said.
Kavelashvili added that Georgia remains committed to its European path but expects the same consistency and transparency from Brussels.
