Prosecutor's Office Has Not Filed a Lawsuit Regarding Hovhanavank
The Prosecutor's Office of Armenia has announced that no lawsuit related to Hovhanavank has been filed in court. This was stated by the Office of the Prosecutor General in response to a query from "Armenian Time."
According to the statement, the Prosecutor's Office has not initiated any such proceedings at this time, and there is no judicial process ongoing.
It is noted that earlier reports suggested that authorities were allegedly preparing to seize Hovhanavank through the Prosecutor's Office. Particularly, according to the publication, they were planning to file a lawsuit to contest the ownership rights of Hovhanavank and that it was allegedly being considered to submit the claim not against the Mother See, but rather against the Cadastre Committee, claiming that it had issued incorrect certificates.
