The Theft at the Louvre is an Assault on Our History, Macron
French President Emmanuel Macron has promised that the valuable items stolen from the Louvre will be found. “The theft at the Louvre is an assault on the heritage that we cherish, as it is our history. We will return these artworks, and those responsible will be held accountable. All necessary measures are being taken under the leadership of the Paris prosecutor's office.”
He added, “The ‘New Renaissance of the Louvre’ project that we launched in January aims to enhance security measures. It will be a guarantee for the preservation and protection of everything that constitutes our memory and our culture,” Macron wrote on the X social network.
It is worth noting that today, unknown individuals carried out a brazen attack on the Louvre Museum in Paris. According to media reports, they stole items believed to belong to Napoleon Bonaparte and his wife, Empress Eugenie.
