181 Arrested During Disturbances in France
Over one million people have protested against austerity measures in France. According to Radio France Internationale, more than 250 demonstrations took place across the country as part of the "Block Everything" campaign. Adolescents have shut down dozens of schools. Protesters are demanding the cancellation of the budgetary measures implemented by François Bayrou's previous government, an increase in public spending, and higher taxes for the wealthy.
Le Parisien reports that 181 people were arrested during the disturbances. Earlier, we reported that thousands took to the streets to protest against the Islamization of Great Britain and the acceptance of migrants from Muslim countries.
