Trump Denies Desire for Nobel Peace Prize
U.S. President Donald Trump has refuted speculation after long discussions that he wishes to receive a Nobel Peace Prize. In an interview with CBS News, Trump stated, "I don’t have anything to say on that matter. I can only prevent wars. I do not seek to be in the spotlight. I just want to save lives."
In the same phone interview, Trump informed the agency that he is willing to assist in the signing of a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine. "Something has to happen. We intend to do that," he said.
The U.S. President had previously claimed that he deserves a prestigious award for his role in ending several conflicts.
