Araik Harutyunyan Discusses Arsen Julfalakyan's Statements

Today, on September 16, during a press conference, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Araik Harutyunyan addressed the statements made by Arsen Julfalakyan regarding his ministry and its policies. He stated that the process of resigning Arsen's mandate has not yet been completed and that he will refrain from commenting on that issue for now.

"Last year’s state standards are currently open for public discussion, and there is an unprecedented discussion taking place regarding subject standards, which have never had such open discussions before. In the draft format, we have already received 2000 proposals, and around 6000 teachers have been involved in the discussions. We have also received numerous letters from academic circles. The claim that the academic circles are not participating in the discussions is yet another piece of misinformation," Harutyunyan said.

He mentioned that reconstruction is ongoing in 8 high schools: "We are currently implementing school construction at an accelerated pace. During my tenure, 60 kindergartens have been opened in 60 communities across all regions of the Republic of Armenia."
