Humanitarian Situation in Gaza Has Reached a Critical Point: Erdoğan
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has announced that the humanitarian situation in Gaza has reached a critical point. He emphasized the importance of Israel taking steps to cease fire and to resolve the Palestinian issue based on the two-state principle. Erdoğan also expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom for his statement regarding the recognition of the State of Palestine.
This follows a phone conversation between Erdoğan and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer. According to the President's Communications Directorate, Erdoğan also stated that Turkey continuously sends humanitarian aid to Gaza and supports the efforts of mediators to achieve a ceasefire and to engage in ceasefire negotiations in the region.
