Armen Abazyan Dismissed from Position of NSS Director
The Prime Minister's decision today has led to the dismissal of Armen Abazyan from the position of Director of the National Security Service (NSS).
"Guided by Article 9, Part 5 of the Law on Public Service and Article 4.1, Part 2 of the Law on National Security Bodies: 1. Armen Abazyan is dismissed from the position of Director of the National Security Service. 2. The performance of the duties of the Director of the National Security Service is temporarily assigned to Deputy Director Andranik Simonyan," the decision states.
It is noteworthy that Armen Abazyan was appointed NSS director on November 8, 2020.
