Yerevan Can Fully Rely on Moscow: Lavrov on Armenia and Azerbaijan
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has stated that Russia is sincerely interested in the full normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
“We consider the set of high-level trilateral agreements reached between the Presidents of Russia and Azerbaijan and the Prime Minister of Armenia in 2020 and 2022 as a solid foundation for this. We welcomed the agreement on the text of the peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan and are ready to contribute to resolving all issues necessary for the final signing of the document,” said Lavrov.
According to him, in all these matters, Yerevan can fully rely on Moscow, including in the context of unblocking regional transport and economic communication routes, delimitation of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, and addressing various humanitarian issues.
