Iran Receives Proposal from the United States
Iran has received a proposal from the United States to conduct the fifth round of negotiations aimed at resolving the crisis surrounding Iran's nuclear program. This was announced by Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi.
"We have received a proposal for the next round of indirect negotiations between Iran and the United States, which is currently under discussion," Gharibabadi stated.
The fourth round of indirect negotiations between the two countries took place on May 11 in Muscat, facilitated by the Omani side. The talks resumed after a two-week pause.
The first and third rounds of indirect negotiations between Tehran and Washington were held in Oman on April 12 and 26, respectively, while the second round took place in Rome, Italy, on April 19.
These meetings focused on the issue of Iran's complete abandonment of nuclear weapons development in exchange for the lifting of sanctions, while also preserving Tehran's right to develop nuclear energy for peaceful purposes.
