Criminal Prosecution Launched in Case of Arson on Yerevan Council Member's Wife's Car
A criminal prosecution has been initiated against one individual in connection with the arson of a car belonging to the wife of a Yerevan Council member. This information was provided to 1Lurer.am by the Investigative Committee.
"A criminal prosecution has been initiated against one individual under Article 264 (Destruction or Damage to Property), Part 2, Points 2 and 6 of the Criminal Code. As a preventative measure, detention has been applied to the accused," the Investigative Committee reported.
It was previously revealed that the car set on fire belonged to Gevorg Stepanyan, a member of the Yerevan Council’s 'Mother Armenia' faction. On May 7, one individual was arrested on the basis of direct suspicions regarding the commission of the crime.
