This is a familiar handwriting, it is the handwriting of power: Martun Grigoryan
Martun Grigoryan, head of the "Our City" alliance that participated in the extraordinary elections of the Gyumri City Council and a member of the National Assembly, has not yet been able to contact or meet with the former member of the council from "Our City," Karen Badalyan, to understand what actually happened.
"They were trying to violate the law. In reality, some people are doing all this in place of Karen Badalyan so that they can manipulate that mandate for their interests," Grigoryan said about the incidents that occurred.
However, the Administrative Court has accepted the case filed by Karen Badalyan, in which he requests to invalidate the community leader's record.
"The ruling party is doing everything to seize power in Gyumri. In this case, we were able to prevent this, and we are ready for the judicial processes; we will go all the way," Grigoryan stated.
When asked about rumors circulating in Gyumri that an attempt was made to influence Karen Badalyan through lawbreakers, Martun Grigoryan said that he doubts such rumors exist, but does not exclude that there may be people who are interested in spreading such rumors to sow discord between teams.
"This is a familiar handwriting, it is the handwriting of power. They are trying to create another turmoil in Gyumri, which we will not allow. The time will come when it will become clear, and you will understand what motivated Karen's actions. Representatives of the authorities are not calming down in Gyumri," Grigoryan said.
