Sedrak Kocharyan Sues the State Revenue Committee
Sedrak Kocharyan, the son of Armenia's second President Robert Kocharyan, has filed a lawsuit against the State Revenue Committee (SRC) in the Administrative Court. This information has been reported by Factinfo news agency.
According to the media outlet, Sedrak Kocharyan is seeking to annul the SRC's decision. The administrative act pertains to Article 169.1 of the Law on Administrative Offenses, which addresses violations in accounting practices that could result in tax reduction or failure to submit tax returns on time.
At the same time, the plaintiff has submitted a request to suspend the administrative act until a final judicial decision is reached. The Administrative Court, presided over by Judge Ani Harutyunyan, has accepted the case, but denied the request for suspension. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for several months later, on November 25.
