NSS on the Transfer of Deceased Woman's Body from Artsakh to Armenia
The issue of transferring the body of Vera Aghasyan, who passed away in Stepanakert, to Armenia is currently under discussion. This was confirmed by the National Security Service (NSS) in response to a query from Radar Armenia.
"The matter regarding the transfer of Vera Aghasyan's body to Armenia is in the discussion phase. At this stage, no further information can be provided," stated the NSS.
It is worth noting that recently, an official from Azerbaijan's Ministry of Health mentioned that if Armenia does not accept Vera Aghasyan's body, her fate will be determined by the relevant authorities of Azerbaijan.
Last year, on October 23, it was reported that an elderly Armenian woman had died in Stepanakert. She was one of the few Armenians who decided to stay in Stepanakert after the forced deportation of Armenians from Artsakh by Azerbaijan.
According to Azerbaijani media, the woman died of acute pulmonary-heart failure due to pulmonary artery thrombosis.
