73-Year-Old Man Arrested with 12 Firearms and Weapon Parts
The Criminal Police Department of Yerevan received operational information on April 2 that a 73-year-old man residing on Belinsky Street was illegally storing weapons and ammunition at his home and nearby buildings. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
"The information was verified and confirmed, prompting the initiation of a criminal case in the investigative department of the Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts. On April 5, with a court order, police and investigative committee officers conducted a search at the man’s residence, discovering 12 firearms, weapon parts, and a significant quantity of various munitions.
The 73-year-old man has been arrested and transferred to a detention facility. The investigation is ongoing," the statement read.
