Ministry of Defense Releases Statement
The Ministry of Defense has stated that the report from the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense, claiming that at 11:10 AM on March 31, Armenian Armed Forces units opened fire on Azerbaijani positions in the southeastern area of the border, does not correspond to reality.
It was reminded that the Prime Minister's Office of the Republic of Armenia proposed to establish a joint mechanism for investigating incidents of ceasefire violations and/or information regarding them between Armenia and Azerbaijan, to which Azerbaijan has not yet responded.
The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia reaffirms its readiness to investigate the facts supporting the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense's statement, should they be provided to Armenia.
