Accept Reality, Resign. Sargis Hovsepyan Calls for HFF Leadership to Step Down
Former Armenian national team player, defender, and former head coach of Yerevan's FC Pyunik, Sargis Hovsepyan has called for the resignation of the leadership of the Football Federation of Armenia (FFA) through a Facebook post.
“The current leadership of the FFA, led by Armen Melikbekyan and Armen Nikoghosyan, should apologize for delaying their resignation. The negative events and recorded results that have occurred during your tenure are facts that everyone has seen, and this is reality. It is time for everyone to accept that they have made mistakes and failed Football management because it has been run by unprofessional people. You have had dozens of months and years, yet no positive changes have taken place; instead, the exact opposite has occurred. If it was possible to uphold Armenian football’s honor in a short period, why hasn’t it happened? Accept reality, resign, and leave for the benefit of Armenian football,” Hovsepyan wrote.
