Russia Plans Large New Attack, Says Zelensky

Russian armed forces may launch an attack in Ukraine's Sumy and Kharkiv regions, as well as in the Zaporizhzhia area. This concern was raised by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in an interview with the French newspaper Le Figaro.

“We shared intelligence data with our allies. We need to watch the situation with wide-open eyes,” said the Ukrainian president.

Zelensky stated that Moscow is allegedly buying time during the negotiations. According to the Ukrainian politician, a new offensive by the Russian army could occur in the spring of 2025. Zelensky also believes that Russian military forces are currently stockpiling resources. He indicated that Russia was reportedly planning to initiate a similar attack in the summer of 2024. The politician used this statement to explain the actions of the Ukrainian armed forces in the Kursk region.
