Azerbaijan Opens Fire Towards Syunik: Ministry of Defense
The Armenian Ministry of Defense reports that Azerbaijan's claim, stating that Armenian Armed Forces opened fire on Azerbaijani positions in the eastern and southeastern sectors of the border between March 30 at 22:30 and March 31 at 04:35, does not correspond to reality.
Simultaneously, it was reported that around 00:50 on March 31, units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces opened fire in the direction of the village of Khndzoresk in the Syunik region, resulting in damage to a residential house. Fortunately, there were no casualties.
It is reminded that the Prime Minister's office of the Republic of Armenia has suggested the establishment of a joint mechanism for investigating ceasefire violations and/or related information between Armenia and Azerbaijan, which Azerbaijan has yet to respond to.
The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia reaffirms its readiness to investigate the evidence supporting the Azerbaijan Ministry of Defense's statements, provided they are transmitted to Armenia. At the same time, we call on the Azerbaijani side to investigate the incident of shelling a residential house in Khndzoresk and provide public clarifications.
