Justice Minister Surbhi Galayan on the Release of 'Chagh Rustam'
I believe that the address for these questions is the court, as it is the court that changed the measure of restraint. This was stated by Justice Minister Surbhi Galayan while discussing the release of the criminal authority known as 'Chagh Rustam', Rustam Stepanyan.
"We are the body implementing the measure of restraint, and now the implementation of this measure has moved to the probation service. Our task is to properly ensure the implementation of that measure," she said.
When asked what steps will be taken to prevent the commission of other dangerous acts by him, the minister stated: "Home confinement implies isolation, and I believe we should do everything to avoid any issues. I assume that the prosecutor's office will appeal. Regarding why courts let individuals go, it speaks to the fact that there is simply no potential connection with the oversight sphere of the courts. Yes, the court has made a decision that we may disagree with, but that decision has been made by the court," noted Surbhi Galayan.
It is noteworthy that the criminal authority 'Chagh Rustam', Rustam Stepanyan, who was under arrest in the case of the murder of Sergey Grigoryan, known as 'Fazi', has been released from custody. This was announced by his attorney Gegham Hakobyan's law office.
