Passenger Aids Bus Driver Who Fell Ill
A commendable incident occurred in public transport yesterday. This was reported by Gegham Asatryan, the spokesperson for Yerevan Bus LLC, on his Facebook page.
“While traveling from Tigran Mets Avenue towards Republic Square, the driver of the bus on route 54 began to feel unwell. The driver stopped at a bus stop and asked the passengers to disembark. One passenger (since I do not have consent, I do not personally know them and will not disclose their information) identified as M. G., refused to get off, called an ambulance, and waited until it arrived to provide first aid,” he noted.
“During that time, the passenger stayed in contact with the specialists of Yerevan Bus LLC using the driver’s phone, locked the doors of the vehicle, and waited until assistance was provided to the driver so that the bus could be safely left.”
At this time, the driver is in the hospital. Fortunately, his life is not in danger. “With deep admiration and heartfelt gratitude, thank you to the passenger,” he added.
