Trump Sued on His First Day as President
On his very first day in office, U.S. President Donald Trump has been sued. This is due to his new order that makes it easier to remove federal employees from their positions. The lawsuit has been filed by the union representing Treasury Department workers, which advocates for the interests of 37 federal agencies, according to Bloomberg.
“President Donald Trump is being sued over an order that facilitates the removal of senior government officials,” the publication states. It is noted that Trump is creating a category of workers who can be dismissed without the possibility of appeal. The President's actions are reportedly not in line with the Congressional intent, as the U.S. Congress has established the 'right to due process' for federal employees.
