Armed Attack in Damascus: Islamists Threaten Christians
Islamists continue to threaten Christians in Syria. This was reported by the 'Christian Emergency Alliance' organization on social media. It is noted that an incident occurred last night in the Al Qasaa area of the Saroujah suburb of Damascus, which is primarily inhabited by Christians. Unconfirmed reports indicate that one person was injured as a result of gunfire.
"The purpose of these provocations is to force Christians to leave their homes," the statement said.
It should be reminded that the new Syrian authorities, represented by Abu Muhammad al-Joulani, affirmed that Syria does not pose a threat to its neighbors or the West, and that they do not attack civilians or civilian areas, largely supporting ethnic and religious diversity. However, there are reports that religious minorities have been subjected to attacks and persecution in various parts of Syria following Bashar al-Assad's departure from the presidency.
