Arman Tsarukyan Cancels Fight with Islam Makhachev
Leading UFC lightweight Arman Tsarukyan has confirmed via an Instagram post that he has withdrawn from his fight against Islam Makhachev, which was scheduled to take place on January 19 in Los Angeles.
They were set to compete at UFC 311.
"It is with great sadness that I must inform you that the news about my withdrawal from UFC 311 due to a back injury is true. This has been the hardest decision of my career. I would like to thank the UFC for their understanding, and I am eagerly looking forward to my first UFC championship fight in the future. Thank you all for your support," Tsarukyan wrote.
Makhachev's new opponent will be Brazilian Renato Moicano.
