Truck Falls into Pit in Yerevan, One Injured
On January 17 at 11:55 AM, the National Crisis Management Center received a report that a truck had fallen into a pit near 24/30 G. Hovsepyan Street in the Norq-Marzashen district of Yerevan. The driver was trapped inside the vehicle, and smoke was observed coming from the truck. This information was provided by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
A rescue team from the Yerevan Fire and Rescue Department was dispatched to the scene. It was discovered that the truck, a KamAZ model (driver: B. A., born in 1986), had fallen into a construction pit approximately 12 meters deep. There were no signs of fire.
Before the rescue team arrived, the driver managed to exit the vehicle. The rescuers assisted B. A. to a stretcher and brought him to an ambulance, where he was subsequently hospitalized.
