Major Car Accident on Ashtarak Highway Leaves Casualties

On December 26, at 11:06 AM, the Crisis Management Center of the Kotayk Regional Rescue Department received information about a traffic accident on the Ashtarak highway, reporting casualties and fatalities. This was announced by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

A team from the fire and rescue unit of the Yerevan Rescue Department responded to the scene. It was established that vehicles involved in the collision were a "VAZ" (driver: F. M., born in 1971) and a "KamAZ" (driver: R. B., born in 1980). There were reported injuries.

Emergency medical personnel confirmed the death of the passenger M. M. (born in 1937) from the "VAZ" vehicle, while the driver received necessary medical assistance on-site and was subsequently hospitalized.

Rescuers disconnected the power supply to the "VAZ" vehicle, closed the gas cylinder valve, and assisted the passenger S. G. (born in 1975) onto a stretcher, who was then transported to a medical center.
