Armenian and US Officials Visit Syunik

As part of the "Trump Road for International Peace and Prosperity" (TRIPP) program, a joint visit has been organized to the Syunik region involving Armenian and US officials. This was announced in the first post on the "TRIPP Armenia" Facebook page.

Representatives from the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs are participating in the visit, while the US side includes David Allen, the Chargé d'Affaires at the US Embassy in Armenia, and John Askonas, Senior Adviser for Policy Planning at the US State Department.

Meetings are planned with representatives of local self-governing bodies and residents of the communities. The discussions will focus on strengthening regional connectivity and creating new opportunities through the TRIPP initiative.

Officials are also expected to visit designated locations near Meghri for the TRIPP route.

It is worth noting that on August 8, 2025, in Washington, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed a joint declaration that also includes the implementation of the "Trump Road for International Peace and Prosperity" (TRIPP) project through the territory of Armenia. The framework for the implementation of the TRIPP project was published on January 14, 2026.
