Online Gatherings Tried to Resolve Various Issues: Ministry of Internal Affairs Disclosure
The Ministry of Internal Affairs' criminal police in the Lori province has uncovered that a 25-year-old resident of Vanadzor engaged in criminal activities while under house arrest. Specifically, as a member of a criminal subculture group, he mediated against a resident of Lori province who had been working in Russia and his associates to deny them wages due to an insulting remark made towards a person with a high status in the criminal hierarchy.
In addition, the 25-year-old young man organized online conferences, or 'gatherings', through phone communications to tackle various issues, including financial matters, utilizing his subcultural connections and also involving prisoners serving sentences in detention facilities.
Officers from the Ministry of Internal Affairs' criminal police in the Lori province have also obtained factual data indicating that the 25-year-old acquired drugs with the intent to sell to inmates at the 'Vanadzor' penitentiary. He handed the drugs to another person who placed them in a clinic's restroom, from where an inmate brought in for medical treatment was supposed to collect them. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, this criminal act did not reach completion.
Authorities are undertaking measures to identify other individuals participating in subcultural online gatherings and ascertain the extent of their involvement in criminal activities.
